quick beauty: thermal spring water

January 28, 2013By stephanie

Have you ever done your makeup and loved the finished result … but it just a looked a little too, er, done? A great way to make your makeup look a little more lived in and a little more natural (but still super hot) is to spray a light mist of thermal spring water over the face before heading out. It will soften and blur lines and help the makeup sink a bit into the skin rather than letting it just sit on top. They have said that Elizabeth Taylor had a similar trick: she would apply her makeup and then steam her face a bit … I think she knew what she was doing!

quick beauty: exfoliate with your morning java

As of late I’ve been reading this really great blog that I found through Twitter: And Then We Saved … It’s all about budgeting, getting debt free, and saving money. I came across this great beauty AND save money tip by the author: use your drained coffee grounds as a skin exfoliator. Often times, you’ll hear about using brown sugar as an at home remedy (which is just as effective) but now, you have two options! Follow her instructions at AndThenWeSaved.com!
