Last week, the folks at Dove Canada shared their latest short film called Patches with us. At just four minutes, it’s worth the watch for its powerful message.
It follows a group of women over the course of two weeks who have been given the opportunity to test a new beauty patch, and they’re asked to vlog along the way to capture the effects of the patch as they wear it from day to day.
If you’ve seen Dove’s previous short films and ads from the last year or so, you can likely guess how this one ends. It drives home the message that the thoughts and feelings we have about ourselves are entirely mental, and all it takes is a conscious change in attitude to drastically improve your self-confidence and self-love. The video fittingly ends with the message “Beauty is a state of mind.”
