Just wanted to share a picture of some of the beauty looks we did for
the team behind The Artist Project, Toronto.
The bp team partnered up with The Artist Project for the first time just last year,
so we were super elated when they contacted us to bring us back this year.
This is just one half of the extremely talented and beautiful
(and super organized – the event is HUGE!) team
and we had a blast working with them.
A very big thank you to Laura, Candace and Alisa for
joining me yesterday at the event.
And a very big “cheers+congrats” to The Artist Project TO
for another successful year!
Nude coloured nail polishes are shades that I keep near by on days that I want to keep my nails simple. A colour that is great for all skin tones is Naked by Deborah Lippmann. It’s a sheer bare beige colour that would be great for those who are looking for a natural looking colour for work or who doesn’t want to wear a bright or dark colour.
One coat of this is great if you are looking a sheer coverage. For myself, I used three coats to get a full colour coverage on my nails. I like how quickly it dried in between coats and without using a top coat, the colour has a glossy shine to it.
Naked by Deborah Lippmann can be found at Murale (murale.ca) for $20.00.
**Disclosure: This product was sent to BlushPretty as a press sample for editorial consideration.**
I’m currently obsessed with Marissa Webb and her fashionable ways, especially given that she’s the mind behind Banana Republic, I store I adore. I’ve been following her religiously on Instagram, and just this past weekend I received word on the makeup look for her namesake design label during its trip down the NYC runway for Fall/Winter 2015.
Maybelline is back at it for New York Fashion Week, and the face for Marissa Webb’s line was created by some of our favourite Maybelline products including, The Nudes (who doesn’t LOVE this palette?) however, not for the eyes (SURPRISE!). Instead, the artistry team decided to use a taupe shade from the famous palette to contour the cheeks. Genius!
The look itself was inspired by Bianca Jagger, and what stands out for me is the fresh, clean skin. It’s breathable and dewy. The soft look was created using Maybelline’s Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation for the base. To conceal, Face Studio Master Conceal was applied, with attention to the brow area to soften them up the appearance of the brows.
I think the overall look is perfect and wearable for everyday, very much in tune with Marissa Webb’s style.
I heart this look and am looking forward to seeing more from New York Fashion Week and Maybelline!
We think it’s time for you to come out of hibernation; which we understand isn’t really easy to do in our -40 temperatures. But, I think we might have a little something something to sweeten the deal and make it worth your while. *smile*
It’s been a while since our last one, but we are now officially starting off our year with a B.F.F. event … you know, those mini-events at the studio where you get in on the 411 about the newest thing in skincare, beauty, or perhaps body care … yep, that event.
This February, we are pleased to welcome in Graydon Moffat and her brand, Clinical Luxury – an organic based brand with a focus on plant powered beauty … think luxurious yet effective products with names like Hair Smoothie, Face Food, and Green Cream … need we say more?
The event takes place on February 26, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at the studio. It’s open to all friends of BlushPretty for a quick and simple shopping event. All you need to do is RSVP. Send me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org or check out the Facebook Page …
Hope to see you there!
