I so wish I went to this event … instead, Anne got the lucky breaks. She got the chance to rub elbows with Maybelline makeup artist Grace Lee and she got the chance to watch the preview to the new show Make Me Over, Make Me Under. I wish I was Anne.

BlushPretty joined Maybelline Canada and fellow beauty media to celebrate Grace Lee, head makeup artist for Maybelline Canada. I stopped by the Maybelline pop-up at Luminato to see where all the beautiful people were gathering. Grace Lee was on hand giving makeup DIY lessons on the season’s hottest looks using Maybelline’s great range of products. The Kiss and Tell wall was also a huge hit: pick a lip shade and strike your best kissy face to post on the wall (or tweet and share on Facebook!).

The beauties of Maybelline hosted a private screening of the pilot episode of Make Me Over, Make Me Under on Slice TV featuring Grace Lee. Grace was on hand to dish on the behind-the-scenes gossip (did anyone notice the change in hair stylists from episode one to two?!).

Grace was a great success on the show. After hearing much criticism on wardrobe, and makeup routine, the two women receiving the make over/under were received warmly by Grace. Grace was incredibly understanding; she made the women feel and look great. She armed the ladies with easy makeup routines and the products to achieve the look.

It was Grace and her talent that brought the whole show together. If you’re a fan of What Not to Wear, I highly recommend checking out this Canadian show.

Watch Make Me Over, Make Me Under on Slice TV, Thursdays at 9 p.m.
