To New Beginnings ...

At the end of February 2021, I was hit with a surprise : my chair rental in our Toronto beauty bar on 508 Yonge Street was being terminated without explanation and with only five days notice. No explanation. I’m not one to fight the universe, so I didn’t question the email and simply drove into the city and removed my belongings from the studio that was BlushPretty’s second home for almost 5 years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I could sit here and be really angry and upset. I could cause a scene and drag names through the mud. But I won’t.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instead, I could see it as the opportunity to carefully escape from a situation that was probably going south in the pandemic anyhow. The chance to bring the BlushPretty team into a bigger and better environment once the pandemic loosens up a bit. A sign from the universe that bigger things are waiting for myself and the team. And I also know I am not alone. Many unfortunate things have been happening to people all around since March 2020 … if this is what the pandemic dealt for me, so be it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
