There is so much more to a bride’s wedding day than just the walk down the aisle, and lucky for us, we sometimes get to be a part of all those moments as well. This can include makeup and hair services for bridal showers, bachelorette and much more … like engagement shoots.
Our friends at Two Bright Lights recently shared with us that a recent bride we worked with, Lily, and her engagement shoot with her fiancé Tony, were featured over at Nearlyweds.com. YAY!
Lily came to us for makeup and hair services when preparing for this shoot, and our BP artists, Giselle and Samantha, were happy to oblige.
Ave just seen the photos, courtesy of Ten 2 Ten Photography and couldn’t believe how pretty they are. They definitely show the beauty of this couple and the love between them. Congratulations to Lily and Tony, and thank you for choosing BP to be a part of it.
Feel free to view the entire gallery over at Nearlyweds.com. If you’re looking to book beauty services for your big day, or all the precious moments in between, well, look no further – give us a call, or feel free to fill out our form over at our contact page!
I couldn’t wait to share photos with you from a recent photoshoot we did for
The BTS photograph was taken by Margarita, a bp assisting artist,
and we couldn’t be more pleased with how the shoot went.
This particular shot was in the final minutes of the shoot,
when after completing all the planned out and scheduled wardrobe and styling options,
Laura, Samantha and I decided to fit in one more that just screamed
“excess … but just a level lower than that”.
A very big thank you to Laura Amaya for her makeup skills,
Samantha Wilson for her hair prowess,
and to Rebecca, Margarita and Erin who assisted with the shoot.
Also, we cannot forget two important people and friends of bp :
Ann Carballo, our photographer
Michelle Trudeau, our model
and the new face of Lowe+Simone.
More shots to come … promise!

All I remember from this day, is that it started off very normal.
I was doing errands, volunteering at the school, and bringing my dog,
Yoda, to get his nails clipped.
A very normal day …
And then, that evening, I went to my call for a photoshoot
and found out I would be doing makeup for the Marley family.
The beautiful Donisha Marley, his granddaughter, and her mother
Sharon Marley, Bob and Rita Marley’s daughter and
vocalist for The Melody Makers.
My time with them was short and sweet.
But all I could remember was thinking :
“is this really happening right now?”
Life is good folks!
Had to share this image, straight from Kin’s computer to ours …
Inspired by those iconic Guess ads, the makeup was executed by Alisa C. for BlushPretty and for the hair, our very own, Samantha W.
Here’s a peek at an unedited photo and before the black and white.
The model, Elena, is to die for … so beautiful!
Enjoy your hump day folks!
We were featured on The Wedding Co. this week in a beautiful photoshoot
inspired by Strawberry Ice – one of Pantone’s top 10 colours for Spring 2015 :
a mix of corals and blush pinks perfect for Valentine’s Day.
We collaborated with a a great team including Berlyn Lai
(creative director and mastermind behind the shoot)
of BLoved Events, Sandy Tam Photography and the
lovely people at The Berkeley Field House.
Hair and makeup for the bride was created by our very own, Candace B.
Happy Almost Valentine’s Day!
