We’re taking a peek into the makeup bags of our blog contributors, starting with Regina!

As I was going through my makeup bags for this post, I realized I never paid much attention to what I kept in it until I emptied it out (and yes – I did say makeup bags with an S).

Makeup bag #1 holds many products I use everyday that get placed back in the bag after applying my makeup before work.

Toothbrush and Toothpaste: Always used after a meal, coffee or snack while I’m at work and/or out.

Eyeshadow, Liquid Eyeliner, Mascara, Eyeshadow Primer, Makeup Sponge and Q-Tips: I take these with me after applying my makeup in the morning just in case I need a minor touch up in the afternoon.

Hair Brush and Ties: Since I have long hair, I have a tendency to put up my hair at anytime throughout the day.

Fragrance Mist, Hand Lotion and Hand Sanitizer: I like the subtlety of the Warm Vanilla Sugar Fragrance Mist from Bath & Body Works (it’s not an overpowering scent) as a body mist, and I keep the lotion and sanitizer handy to keep my hands moisturized and clean throughout the day.

Lip Gloss and Lip Balms: I keep a variety in my bag at all times. There are days when I’m looking for a subtle and sheer look or days when I need to use a bold colour. I keep lip balms to keep my lips moisturized at all times.

As for makeup bag #2 – it only has nail products.

Polish Remover Pads and Q-Tips: To fix any mistakes or smudges that I may make while painting my nails.

Nail Cutter and Nail File: For any sudden nail breaks!

Cuticle cream: To keep my cuticles moisturized.

I also tend to keep quite a few colours of nail polishes in a separate makeup bag. I get bored easily and change my nail polish a few times a week, and this is why I carry a variety of colours.  At minimum, I usually keep 5 nail polishes and at maximum it can be upwards of 10. I generally like to layer colours and textures onto my nails to make it different.

And that’s what you’ll find in my makeup bag(s) on a daily basis! What’s in yours?
