I Went, I Bought, I Conquered ...

Well, now that the Sephora sale is over for the holiday season, I figured it would be a great time to share what I purchased for myself and for my kit. After all, whether it was your purchase or some random blogger’s from the Internet, who doesn’t like hearing about a good makeup haul ...

So I actually made three separate trips between two Sephoras. Yes, I AM THAT blogger. Today, I’ll share what I purchased on my first trip!

I was actually planning to use the discount to discover products from Selena Gomez’s new Rare Beauty line. I was considering her new lip colors, but after swatching a few of the colours, I wasn’t in love with the shades. So instead, I crossed the aisles to Makeup Forever. I had received a couple of Makeup Forever’s new Rouge Artist Lipsticks as a gift, and really liked the product - especially the lipstick case itself. The colours that were gifted to me were all pink and neutral, so I decided I would grab two colours that I love using for fall. I walked away with Burning Clay which is a brown/brick colour, and Glowing Ginger which is on quite bold.

No trip to Sephora would be complete without something from Fenty Beauty. With her limited edition holiday items available, I couldn’t resist grabbing the Holo Daze Snap Shadow palette which came complete with a deluxe sample of her full frontal mascara. I have yet to open up the package but I’m super excited to wear the shades available in this palette as I’ve liked and purchased many of the Snap Shadows before.

I normally use my annual 20% off to purchase the most expensive items in my skincare routine, because if it’s two things I’m serious about it’s skincare and keeping my money in it’s pockets.

So my last two items from this particular trip included Drunk Elephant’s Physical Daily Defence Sunscreen, and I like the tinted version, and Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir. The former is my sunscreen of choice, and I can rely on the sunscreen to not only protect me on a daily basis but also provide enough coverage to even out my skin tone. The latter is what I like to use to prep my skin before make up, and said it afterwards. It’s also a great spritz when you need to refresh your hair!

I’ll be sure to share reviews of each of these products over time, but I just wanted to share what I like to spend my money on every time a Sephora sale comes around. Over the next couple of posts, I’ll share what I purchased from trips two and three, but in the meantime I’d love to hear how YOU spent YOUR money at Sephora’s annual holiday sale.

So tell me, what did you buy?
